"an exsisting connection was forcibly closed by the hos

An exsisting connection was forciblyclosed by the remote host, wha tdoes that mean?? I can't connect and I dunno why. I gutted my computer and reinstalled the program and put all my info in but it won't connect. Any help?

CP: I've just experienced the same issue ie existing connection forcibly closed - thing is, I have 4 sites that I load using coreftplite, and only 2 of them exhibit this problem.

If you could help it would be really appreciated as I cannot update my site.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM:
I learned today from my host service that they were transferring their tech service stuff to a new server and that it resulted in FTPs being temporarily disabled. This explained why I was not able to access Core FTP...

It may be better when you have any error problem coming up that refers to a host, to actually check with the host service first - your answer may come sooner and be more easily managed...
