I have set up CoreFTP Server with SFTP at port 22. I have forwardet the port in my router (trendnet tew-611BRP). I have no problem accessing the Web-server, and I have earlier run a standard FTP-server (tried both ServU and FileZilla) with this broadband-router. Also no problems with connecting with MS Remote Desktop, so I belive my NAT-setup also for the SFTP-server is correct.
On my local network I have no problem logging in on the server with WinSCP, but is not able to access it from the outside. WinXP Firewall is turned off on the server-pc -- also the SPI-firewall in the router is turned off.
I read the documentation for CoreFTP Server, and finds it a bit "thin", so I'm a bit unsure on what some of the settings should be/are for.
I have tried logging in from two different external systems; one with Windows XP using WinSCP, the other with Linux and what basicly seems to be a standard sftp-client. WinSCP just "Searching for host" and nothing more - same basicly with the other sftp-client.
I have tried different settings in the CoreFTP Server-setup without any luck. As for DomainIP/adress I have tried the systems IP on the LAN and the external ip, and "localhost" (and tried the resolve-check). No difference. I have tried with and without setting up a cert. Have not tried any of the other settings.
So, if assumed that NAT-settings are correct (TCP/22 forwarded to the servers IP) and there is no Firewall, what can I try to do?
