config.dat file in home folder

Post by charger »

Hi,

I'm evaluating CoreFTP Server. One thing I have noticed when I set up a domain. add a user and lock the user to their home directory is that in the home directory there is a file "config.dat" visible and writable to a logged in client. Is this normal? Is it a risk? Is there a way to hide this file?

Thanks

It means the server can't write to the installation directory. You'll need to run as admin when running or relocate the configuration file to a directory with permission.
