Are there any standard reasons for failures of CoreFTP to download files? I have logging=on, and there are no hints in either of the two on-screen logs. It just downloads 0 bytes for non-empty files and displays "Failed" in the log. This happens for some sites and not for others. I've looked at the options and advanced options and can't see the reason. Test files on Linux server have permissions -rw-r--r--. Owner not displayed.
I did a migration recently from one host company to another. I think this download problem started after the migration. But some sites work.
No help from web searching.
Type of connection: FTP with password, active or passive
Environment: Core FTP 2.2, Windows 10 Home, HP laptop.

Re: Why do downloads fail?
If a directory does not exist or has invalid permissions you can get these errors.
