password? problem......

Hi ive just installed Core FTP and when ever I try to connect I get this error

Connect socket #3424 to {ip address} port 21...
Resolving {servername}.com...
220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [TLS] ----------
220-You are user number 3 of 50 allowed.
220-Local time is now 01:36. Server port: 21.

USER {username}
331 User {username} OK. Password required
PASS **********
530 Authentication failed, sorry

The thing is I know the details I have entered is 100% correct because I can log on with a different program... So whats wrong???? It seems as a incorrect password but I know its correct!! Im so confused $(!!

Typo's are out of the question?

yeah I tried it and im 100% sure im typing it correctly... Whats werid is when I use another FTP program it works fine.......????

If both the username and the password do not have any typo's something weird is happening.

Are you typing the password at a prompt or do you have it configured in the connection document? Try the other way to see if that works?
