Cant upload..

Post by kayla-fox »

When i upload a file, it says it gets to 100%, but doesnt finalize so it doesnt completely upload. Ill show a screencap..

it doesn't finish, then the connection times out.

It works VERY RARELY. Like once a week.

I run a sucessful forum and an upcoming site, its VERY annoying.

This is happening on ANY ftp program i have, not just core, anybody know whats wrong?

A logging of the process would be very helpful.

The log file that CoreFTP (or any other FTP program) generates would help to solve the problem, as this is most likely a problem with your host's server, but with the log file information, you'd be armed with information on how to tell them just how to fix it, or at least what the problem could be.

My log file is located at:
C:\Program Files\CoreFTP\COREFTP.LOG

You need to enable logging in the global configuration of your FTP client, however (in CoreFTP, go to View, Options, then make sure the checkbox next to Log all activity is checked and there's a filename).

Whenever this has happened to me, it's been a server problem. It's too busy or needs a reboot.
