Search Not Working if Files Have "(2)" in Name

I have files on my web server that include "(2)" as part of their name such as IMG_0023 (2).jpg. I used Core FTP to search for files with (2) in their name but did not get any results. How do I enter this search term so that Core FTP returns a list of files with (2) in their names.

what did you use for a search term?

Tested with *(2)* and it seemed to find files without issue.

If that doesn't work, which protocol is being used (FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, etc)?
