Let me know the encryption techniques used in Core FTP?

I would like to know about the encryption techniques used in core FTP. Since this secures the data transfer of clients, which technique as well as algorithm is been used in this freeware? There are 3 general encryption methods are available for clients- Hashing, Symmetric methods, and Asymmetric methods. And the different algorithms which commonly used are Triple DES, RSA, Blowfish, Twofish, and AES. Which is the one used by core FTP and why?
