capturing profiles from old computer

Post by onestopprint »

I recently had to junk my laptop running Windows Vista and replace it with a new laptop running Windows 7. When I reinstalled CoreFTP Lite, my site profiles did not propagate. How do I capture the site profiles from the old computer and save them into the new installation of CoreFTP Lite?

I wish someone would respond to this issue, I have the same thing, I got a total OS corruption and reinstalled OS on a new Hard drive. Found the profiles info in the application data directory, but cannot get it to index the sites at all.

I have read about the registry setting, is this some thing I can manually get Core to recognize?

I ended up having to enter my client profiles manually as needed. I didn't have that many, so it was not a big issue with me.

Pretty sad, I have about 59 of them, and I got them entered, but man there has got to be a better way. I realize you can back them up, but in case you did not, what else is there?

A backup of site profiles is required in order to store them (right click on list of sites, export, import from the same menu).

On occasion you may need to use the "reindex sites" from the same menu.
