Scheduled FTP not working, how to trouble shoot problem?

I just downloaded a trial of COREFTP Pro and am trying to run a scheduled FTP for one file. The manual transfer works fine. I created a scheduled task from the manual request and although it appears to run, the file is not transferred. I have reviewed the documentation for scheduled tasks several times and am still unable to make it work. I have the task writing to a log, but the information I get is MINIMAL and in no way indicates what the issue could be. Is there a way to see a more detailed log of what is being done when the task initiates? I need something to help troubleshoot and correct the issue. Note: My PC experience is minimal. I am a midrange computer programmer, so please be specific with any directions.. Thank you for any help you can provide....
