Windows 8 - <user> Cannot Log In

I've just upgraded from a Windows Vista laptop to a Windows 8. I installed the newest version of Core FTP LE and set all fields to the same as they were on the Vista computer.

I cannot log in to my web site from the new computer. I consistently receive the following error message:
530 <DomainName> cannot log in.

I see another post (unanswered) from a user with the same problem.

Is anyone having success with Core FTP and Windows 8? What are your settings? Can anyone guide me?

If possible try exporting the sites from the Vista computer by right clicking on the list of sites and selecting "export'. Then import that file on the new computer with the "import" option from the same menu.

99% of the time its a typo on the user, password or hostname.
