Filesize reporting incorrect with 9GB files

Post by atldsl »

When I uploaded a 9GB file, CFTP says the upload completed. When I log in the filesize reports correctly, but when I use windows to log into the ftp site, the filesize is about 4GB, not 9GB that CFTP reports.

If I use windows to ftp the file, then there does not seem to be an issue.

Is there some 4GB limitation with coreftp lite?

A 9GB file?! The Windows Vista ISO file isn't even that big!

Irregardless of the question as to why you'd be uploading a 9GB file, I don't think many people have tested this all that thoroughly for a few reasons...one being that it would take quite some time to test this multiple times, they might go over their monthly bandwidth quota in doing so, and very few situations would have someone FTP'ing such large files.

I'll let CP respond to this one and hopefully give you a better analysis.

Do you have your CoreFTP log from when you upload the file? Posting it here *might* help.
