cannot connect to server

I have read though many post and everything that was suggested has not worked except using the FTP.microsoft.com, UN: Anonymous, PW: email@core FTP. This works fine, but when I put my information in I get : Can't establish connection. The requested name is valid and found in the data base, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for. Does this mean I am putting something in wrong? HELP
