Columns won't sort

Post by ftpwiz »

Clicking on the column headings in CoreFTP LE version 2.1.1552 has no effect. I recall that clicking on the column headings (file name, size, file date, etc.) sorted the display of files in about version 1.3 of about a year ago. Since then the problem has been present and has not been fixed in the three or four updates I have installed since then.
I was hoping that someone would notice the problem and fix it, but alas no. I have checked the forum and find a few other users reporting the problem and it seems to have been fixed for them. Not for me though. It is still present.
I am running Windows Vista Ult.

Ansi version? I am using the Windows version. I can't find any information on the CoreFTP site about what the Ansi version is or why it would need to be used in place of the Windows version.

I have checked this problem on a separate PC running CoreFTP LE 2.0.1507 on Windows XP Pro. The columns sort OK when a column heading is clicked, so no problem here. So I upgraded it to CoreFTP LE 2.1.1552. The columns sort OK here too.
So the problem appears to be confined to Windows Vista.

The same problem still exists in 2.1.1565.

I find this hard to believe. 2.1 build 1591 LE cured the long standing column sorting problem described here. I have just installed 2.1 build 1593 and guess what. The exact same problem has returned! :x

Columns don't sort on XP

Post by frustrated »

I am running XP service pack 3 and have the same difficulty. Perhaps the first time that I use CoreFTP the columns will sort. But after that the column sort stops working. I tried loading both the latest version of LE and the ANSI version. There was no difference.

This program was very useful. But with out the sort it is pretty useless for my needs. I'd be interested to know if there is a fix for this issue.
