Config file Global Settings Data changes will not save

Post by lenw »

It will not save updates to Global Settings, Data.

I don't want site data in the registry, this is bad practice for user data so use the separate configuration file option.
With coreftplite version 2.1 on WindowsXP I have a separate cfg file, as set in: Global Settings > Data > Use the following configuration file. This has worked fine for some time now.

I now have a new Windows7 machine, with CoreftpLite 2.2. I have copied the configuration file onto the new PC, and tried to set the path to it, then click OK. It says shut down and restart corerpt. After the restart, under global settings the data storage is still set as registry.

This is a serious fault, is there a solution please?
Thanks

Same issue with v2.2, just downloaded. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64, brand new install, and CoreFTPLite64. I can't get it set the way I used to do it on Vista, where it was using an external .cfg file. How, please?

Try running coreftp shortcut "As administrator" by right clicking on the shortcut and selecting this option.

in windows 7, you do not have the rights to make the change otherwise
