Can't connect on laptop but ok on desktop

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right thread so please bear with me if incorrect.

I can't connect Core FTP LE to my site with my laptop using windows 8 but can do so on my desktop using windows 10 with exactly the same credentials. I used to be able to connect on my laptop using windows 8 and then windows 8.1 but recently had to do a clean install using my recovery disks. This is when the trouble started. Everything else seems to work on my laptop except Core FTP LE connection.

Any help greatly appreciated
