I have been using CoreFTP for years, and all of the sudden it stopped working correctly.
I will not connect to any sites. It continually says it is "resolving" whichever site, and it keeps launching a mysterious IE browser window pointing to whichever site I am trying to connect to via FTP.
All my settings are the same as they were. I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling. Other FTP programs are working just fine for the same sites, so the problem is with the program, not the sites.
I REALLY prefer Core FTP and want to go back to using it! PLEASE HELP!
Core FTP will no longer connect - launches IE window
Might have something to do with browser integration settings being corrupted.
Go into view -> options -> general -> browser integration -> no
Then exit Core FTP.
Hello there, and thanks for the prompt reply!
Unfortunately, no dice. I followed your instructions, and, on reopening Core FTP, had the exact same results as before.
Any other suggestions?

It sounds like something else is corrupted or a virus has attached itself to the client.
You could try clearing out all Core FTP client registry items
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FTPWare\CoreFTP
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FTPWare\CoreFTP
Or maybe try deleting the entire Core FTP installation directory and re-installing.
