AD authentication

Post by brjdad »

I am setting up a SFTP server (build 282). I need to allow a short list of users, but want AD authentication **and** use of their AD credentials for a network share.

So far, the only solution I have found is to start the service using a network ID, and allow AD logons. This poses two problems. The first is that it seems like **any** AD user can authenticate if "Enable AD..." is checked. Also, if "Enable AD..." is not checked, the access seems to be incorrect for network shares.

Is there a way to start the service using a local system account AND authenticate with AD, and have those credentials act on the network shares (virtual path)? Failing that, a way to have only the users defined within the sftp-domain be allowed to log on, but have correct access to network shares via virtual paths.

Any help (on this subject) appreciated. Thanks.
