Hello all - any advice on this would be appreciated - I hope it's just finger trouble.
I've just dowloaded CoreFTP server for the first time ever and have intalled it for test on another XP machine in my LAN. All very straightforward - set up per the online docs, and set running.
Accepts connections from either FTP Explorer or Windows command line FTP: but in both cases, the server just never opens the data channel: it leaves the client "hanging". Up to that point the control channel dialogue is normal.
What am I doing wrong ? must be a biggie surely...
No firewalls in operation - wide open access straight across ten feet of LAN, so it can't be anything to do with ports I can think of.
all advice appreciated !

Core FTP Server Never Opens Data Channel.... ????
Ok cracked that, but then another issue.....
OK cracked that ! - just permissions - none set on login identity. Access normal once that done.
But I notice another thing - the middle activity window, doesn't seem to come alive reliably. I have seen it log the activity of a log in, but at the moment it remains completely blank (even though the server is accepting connections ok).
Any thoughts on that ?
regards
