Post by killtheslut »

Okay, I'm having a problem. I don't know how to transfer files from the computer files to my ftp.

Can someone help?

Do you have the FTP information?

Host (server address)
Username
Password

???

If so, when CoreFTP starts up with the Site Manager, type in all the information and click on "Connect" or "Ok", I don't recall offhand which it says.

On the lefthand window pane is your local computer's files. On the right, the FTP server. You would traverse the lefthand pane to find the files you want to upload, select them all, hit the big blue right-pointing arrow to upload (===>) and it should start.

Your question's so general, I don't know how to respond any better than that.

OKay, I see where the big button would be. But it doesn't show up for me to click on it. Whenever I click on a file, that button does 'light up', letting me click it..

Perhaps watching the following will help you:

http://www.mysiteonline.org/demo/ftp_demo.htm

I didn't take time to edit out some of my personal information, nor did I take time to add textual comments to the demo. Please don't make me sorry for leaving in personal information in the demo. I'll most likely remove the "demo" when you are successfully able to understand how to use an FTP program.

CP -- this demo illustrates a problem with low-resolutions and CoreFTPs drawing for the transfers window. The resolution was 800x600. I didn't realize it existed until just now while creating the demo.
