Very Beginner!

I first went with WS_FTP. All is fine, got my site up. I've used a different file to put up my files, for I deleted the former by mistake. I can't put in new files into my webpage-new video clips, pics, etc. When I transfer a file it shows 0 kb???- transfers fail. I can kind of understand, I've tried to remove that site totally, and start from scratch but I'm not able to. I'm going to try to keep trying to figure it out- help would be appreciasted. Thanks
