I see someone had this problem in 2015 but didn't get an answer. Maybe I'll have more luck.
I use CoreFTP LE on both my desktop and laptop machines. On the desktop, it open ASCII files in Notepad++ without problem. On the laptop, the file associations claim to associate all ASCII files types with Notepad++ but in fact open two copies in ordinary old Notepad.
The 2015 questioner was advised to redo the file associations with CoreFTP opened in administrator mode. It didn't work for him and it hasn't worked for me.
I've installed it on multiple computers over the years and never had this problem until now.
Gratitude guaranteed for anyone with answer!
Thank you.
Edit to add: This gets wierder. When I download a file and open the local version from within CoreFTP, it opens BOTH in Notepad++ AND in Notepad.

Re: File Associations not working
Which version of Windows is this...?
If you go into View - Options - Extensions - File Associations, what are the settings for the extension of the file you are having issues with?
