Hi,
I've been using CoreFTP (currently 2.2 build 1792) for a while to pull files from GXS TradingGrid. they recently changed the way they determine that the file has been pulled and we've been getting duplicate files ever since. After conversations with their Advanced support team, they explained that the original logic would mark the file as pulled when the FTP client requests the file size for download. The new logic however attempts to make sure that the file was actually downloaded and expects the client to request chunks of file until the server replies that no more chunks are available (at which point it will mark it as pulled). Unfortunately CoreFTP appears to retrieve the file in one chunk and does not send an additional request that would return the response that no more data is available. Is there anything that can be done to alleviate the issue? I had to revert to my old scripts that use WinSCP for the time being but I would much rather use CoreFTP.
Please note that I am using the -putty command line option, without that option the downloaded file has no contents.
I am very interested in the solution to the issue and I'm willing to provide additional information as needed in a private message.
Thank you,
Vladimir Fedorov

RE:SSH FTP Download issue
At this point, GXS made additional changes to their server side logic. This issue can me closed.
