CoreFTP (free or purchased)
I did a search in the forums for an answer and the closest I found was asked by author eltel in 2011. The person (appearently) wanted to view a stored password by unmasking in the dialog box - I assume temporarly. In 2011 this was not readly available but seems to be common in 2015. I understand the ForumAdmin's answer, a very clear answer. To have the (viewing) ability to view/hide, at will, would be a handy, common feature.
Based on experience with other FTP client programs, many "encrypt" the view and give you the "little -black-dots", never to see the plain text in the user interface again - -- but still store the password in plain text in an INI, XML, or similar file.
My questions are..
1. is the Hide/View password an available feature (maybe password the program at launch)
2. regardless of the answer in #1, are passwords stored encrypted or ...?
These are of special interest as I use FTP clients on an USB thumbdrive where (stored) encrypted passwords are vitally important . I can live without #1, although it would be handy.
Cheers
