The service did not start due to a logon failure

Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 + all MS patches

CoreFTP Server version 131

I am trying to configure CoreFTP Server to automatically start the service when the computer restarts.

I checked "Auto Start (service)"

I tried the username and password of two different users who belong to the administrators group and clicked "Start Service". I also tried the administrator login username and password. A dialog box appears reporting "The service did not start due to a logon failure".

I just realized "Start Service" will not work even if "Auto Start (service)" is not checked. It still complains about "The service did not start due to a logon failure"

I'm having the same issue. blank username and password and including machine name don't seem to work... Any other ideas?
