Connect to Mainframe not showing files

I am running LE 2.1 build 1649 and connecting to a mainframe using SSH/SFTP. The remote directory listing shows blank after I connect. From this screen, I then tried to transfer the file using download and manually entering the filename and it was successful. The remote file name is in the format of file.name.ext.g0001v00. I have used a different client successfully so I am sure it's not a firewall or permissions issue on the remote end. Is there a config option I am missing that would allow me to see the remote file listing?
